Program Description

The Monastery of Abuna Hara Dengeel SMS service keeps supporters informed about high-priority updates.

User Opt-In

You opt in by sharing your mobile number with the Monastery administration. By providing this number, you give express consent to receive automated text messages. Consent is not a condition of membership or participation in any Monastery activities.

Message Frequency

Expect approximately two to four messages per month, depending on the community rhythm and project activity.

Cost and Carrier Disclaimer

The Monastery does not charge for this service. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier. The Monastery and the carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to Opt-Out (STOP)

Text STOP to our mobile number at any time to cancel the SMS service. We will send one final confirmation text after your request.

Part 2: Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. The information collected through the SMS program, membership forms, and donation links is used for direct stewardship, planning updates, and internal tracking. We do not sell your details; summaries may be shared with partners (architects, accountants) bound by confidentiality for project delivery.

Data is retained only as long as necessary for the project, and you may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@haramonastery.org.

Security & Updates

The data is stored with industry-standard safeguards. Any change to these Terms and Privacy statements will be posted here, and continuation of use constitutes acceptance of the new version.
